Abstract

The rapid increase in the number of medical devices in hospitals indicates an increase in the intensity of electromagnetic fields (sources of non-ionizing radiation), the emission of which is inevitable. As sources of magnetic fields increase in the neonatal medical environment, it is necessary to evaluate the potential risk of electromagnetic interference in medical devices. In this project, the degradation of the performance of the Infantix NA6.2 System is studied in the presence of magnetic fields. For this, a low-frequency magnetic field generating station was designed. In the tests carried out, the negative influence of magnetic fields on the performance of the equipment was evident and countermeasures were proposed.
