Abstract

With the advances of the technologies, quantitative methods for gait analysis in patients with cerebral palsy have proved the importance of the parameters they offer due to the precision in the diagnosis and the following in the patient´s evolution highlighting the precision of marker-based motion capture and the accessibility of inertial sensors and markerless systems. Advances in artificial intelligence have significantly improved the analysis and classification of gait patterns, while portable devices and wireless systems enable continuous monitoring in uncontrolled environments. Despite these advantages, common limitations such as small sample sizes and high costs were identified, suggesting the need for larger studies in diverse settings to improve the generalizability of the results.
