Local development, Circular economy, Renewable energiesAbstract
This work is a course project of the subject Energy Economics, carried out by students of Electrical Engineering CUJAE, it proposes the preliminary design of solar heaters made from recycled materials, with the application of the principles of Circular Economy. It is assumed that the implementation of these devices will be developed in the CUJAE student residence, after a previous study of the variables, as well as the relevance of the exploitation and use of renewable energy sources. The aforementioned implementation is based on the ReSOLVE Model framework. The methods for team work are applied and the materials used for the construction of the solar heater are detailed. The calculations carried out confirm the significant economic savings due to the reduction of electric energy costs. It is also demonstrated that this proposal advocates for the care of the environment from the use of renewable energy sources, since the proposed heaters absorb the heat generated by the sun and indirectly reduce emissions of polluting gases, as well as raise the quality of life of students and promote a culture of recycling.
